I had the opportunity to visit Owens Valley, Ca recently and was able to locate a couple of nice sites...8777887779

This looks familiar, is the top pic known locally as The Sky Rock panel ?

Thanks windminstrel - Yes. "Sky Rock" and "13 Moons." Both sites are in the same general area and fairly well known. These were taken last week and it snowed that night on surrounding mountains. Many other rock art sites are in the Owens Valley region. We took a couple of days and saw some of it but by no means all of it.

If you find yourself in that neck of the woods again check out Clayton Valley out near Silver Peak.
There are a few unique sites, The Cane Man and the Dancing Man sites. Both are easy to locate with just a little imagination.

Thank you for that info! We also 'stumbled' across a site in Alabama Hills. AH is well worth the trip even with no rock art. Also Keogh Hot Springs. We are saving Benton hot springs for another visit.
