You can check the status of your house in a big quake in SLC: http://www.slcdocs.com/fixthebricks/map.html

It's estimated that 90% of the severe casualties that would result from an earthquake on the Wasatch front are directly related to unreinforced masonry structures. Salt Lake City's Emergency Management Team wants you to "Fix the Bricks."

Hmmmm....maybe trickling down from the Soda Springs earthquake cluster...?

Regardless...once "The Big One" hits the Wasatch Front, there will be casualties in the thousands. We are ill prepared for it in many ways. A 7.0+ earthquake would devastate the SL valley.

...and it doesn't help that three major hospitals were built practically RIGHT ON TOP of the Wasatch Fault (LDS, University of Utah, Alta View)
