What are you hoping to accomplish with it?

These are mostly data collection devices for the seller. Do you value your privacy? Further, every device attached is traversing data across external servers to operate. High data insecurity risk imho.

Basically home consumer level automation has poor interoperability. Very little of it has an upgrade path. Very little of it has anything approaching a support life worth considering. Wifi standards continue to evolve quickly. Your lock, your thermostat your hub and so on will very soon be on legacy standards that are insecure by then standards and have no way to be upgraded. Most will only be getting software support for a couple of years and then are obsoleted.

These are mostly dead end path devices and systems imho.
