I'm taking some new scouts 12-13 to Goblin Valley for a camp. Does anyone know of a good spot to rappel with a bunch of beginners? Hoping for something under 50 feet that is easy to do a bunch of round trips.

Hi there,

The slots of Upper West Canyon are ideally suited for what you have planned:

Don't forget your bolt kit!!!

Only if I don't want to bring them home.

If you go up the Temple Mountain road past the first public toilets and before the pictograph panel there is a dispersed campsite on the right hand side of the wash that is tucked up a little gully. There is a 30-40 foot slab with a tree on a ledge. You can get anything from low angle to just short of vertical.
