I am with a group of several families doing this 90 miles stretch over about a week in May, now that we have good flows promised this year. Can anyone recommend to me personally, or direct me to websites that give good information on campsites, ruins/rock art, and other interesting features along the way? Am trying to get a copy of the old guidebook, but no luck so far. have ordered the new guidebook, hasn't arrived yet.
Also, is the water fast enough at these levels to make this a workable 6 day trip, just over 15 miles per day, with hopes for some side hikes? also, water potability, can dolores water be cleaned and made drinkable, and/or are there other good water sources along the way?
