I just want to know how La La Land ever thought they could win when they know damn well black lives matter basically threatened the oscars last year, then all of a sudden blacks are opening the show with an award, best actress, etc. Best picture to Moonlight was garenteed.

I didn't watch the Oscar's this year. I couldn't stand the thought of the night turning into one giant political bash fest. I do like movies however. I liked La La Land but, then again, I'm a musical theater guy (yes, I'm that multi-talented, ha, ha!). I didn't, however, go absolutely bonkers for it. I found much of it a bit boring and sleepy. Don't tell my musical theater friends I said that- I'll be black-listed! I just watched Hacksaw Ridge yesterday and was enthralled all the way through. Loved that film. Not surprised it only took home one award what with Hollywood's feelings toward Mel Gibson and all. My favorite film of 2016 was actually a little Indy foreign film called, "Sing Street".

Kind of illegitimatizes the accomplishments and achievements of the black community when they're only getting awards because of their skin color....doncha think?

This past Oscar's ceremony was the "affirmative action" Oscar's.
