Oh God!...I don't even want to think as hard as you just did, but I'll be hitting Big Bend in Texas within a month. First time there and I'll post a trip report.
Hawaii Volcanoes is awesome, worth a trip to that island for that park alone. Bring backpacking gear for Halape, a remote beach.
