How about San Gabriel mountains

Hi everyone,

I planned to do some canyons north of Los Angeles this summer (at the end of July, in San Gabriel Mountains). I saw lots of fires in the mountains on TV! Is it a good idea to do canyoneering there this summer or I need to change my plans ?

Think it might be hard trying to get canyoneering advice about canyons in Cali on this forum. Seams most people are based in or around Utah. Hope you get some response !!!
