T'was a great evening ride with @bigred72 (http://www.bogley.com/forum/member.php?u=18004) as we headed up the Skyline Trail from Pineview Reservoir. I literally almost stepped on a rattlesnake, it didn't make a sound as it slowly slithered away. James spotted it after I passed it, and I was probably under 2 feet away from it.
We arrived at the first stopping point about 3 miles up just as the sun was setting, so I got the Phantom 4 drone out and had some pretty amazing flights. From the spot we were at, I flew a little over a mile South, and then East for some cool views. I'll have the video in the next few days.
We headed back down the trail in the dark, and were very pleased with the bike light I had purchased, thanks to the feedback here.

I almost stepped on this guy, walked right past him and James spotted him.

Nice work. I love these videos. I'll keep my eye open for the Ben Lomond Peak version. :naughty:
It'd be cool to have the drone chasing riders down some fun descents!

I can do that if the path is clear of trees, I'll have to scope out some areas.
The footage is cool, it can chase mtn bikers automatically with ease. The only problem is the setup of the shot, having everybody pause their ride and rehearse what's going to happen, how far to go, don't look at the drone, all that stuff. But yeah, it should be cool.

I've never been on that Southern Skyline Trail, but it looks like theres a good section on that video that would be totally free of trees. I look forward to seeing it.

Yeah there are some good straightaways there with some good exposure, it would be easy for me to hover over the edge, free of obstacles and do some following.
