We have a boy scout backpacking trip planned for first week of June. Our first trip with these boys and looking to go somewhere 1-2 miles, just one overnighter around SLC. Any suggestions?

Originally was thinking Uintas, but doesn't look like it will be melted by then.

The Unitas are never melted out in early June.

Maybe try Dog Lake. There may be a little snow, but probably not too much. There is a good place to camp south of the lake.
