It's good to be lucky, but mostly, it is good to be good. Lucky usually only cuts in when you failed at being good, as in this example.

Belay ropes on a corpse going into a helicopter? Wrong! Shortline or longline that body. No reason to risk all those people by one-skidding the chopper. Those people are perfectly capable of hiking down, or moving to a friendly place to get the ride down the mountain.

I was there and will share some details if anyone is interested. Tom, one of your acquaintances was there as well.

Did she fall on Pete's Staircase and/or Collins Highway? I wonder if her intent was to go that way? For a hiker, that's a bit of a technical route. The photo's they show of hers in the news story indicate she went that way. 5.4 but, easy to get off route.

Yeah...long line. Hoist rescue. No need to put a skid on the mountain.

Watched the rescue and body recovery of that group in the Tetons that got hit by lightning. Crazy rescue. Talk about efficient. They plucked all those folks so fast when the weather cleared...bang bang bang. 13 + 1.

That was a close call with the helicopter. Yikes. Glad no one else perished!

That is crazy. Very lucky everyone was okay (Besides obviously the hiker).
