That would be Dale and the dog is Hammy. I'm not a big fan of canyoneering with dogs, but I like Hammy. While it is disgusting thinking of the dog pooping in a canyon, is it really any worse than the dead rotting goat in the pothole? Hammy actually does pretty well in canyons.

Which is worse is irrelevant. One is found there naturally. I really do hope that if you are taking dogs into slot canyons than you are packing out their crap. Human crap or dog crap does not belong in a slot canyon and this is true whether or not there is a dead animal in a canyon.

Please clean up after your dog if you take it in a slot canyon.
