Zip off pants?

I'm looking for a pair of zip off pants for an upcoming trip. I have not liked any of the ones I have had before because the zipper is either right at your knee or is really high, to the point you are wearing short shorts. Either way it always rubs raw and is uncofortable. Any recommendations?

I assume you mean convertible pants where the bottoms below the knee zip off, I've got several pair (Columbia, North Face, REI) and use different ones depending on the hike. My favorite are the REI Sahara (https://www.rei.com/product/861659/rei-sahara-convertible-pants-with-no-sit-zips-mens-30-inseam): they're ultra-light and have zipper seams along the side that let you remove the bottoms without having to take off your boots.

I took my Columbia convertible pants on this last trip to Zion. They're heavier, but were great for scrambling.
