During our St George weekend, we decided to take the kids to Kanarraville and hike up the canyon to see the falls.
The parking fee is $10 but it really doesn't save you any hiking elevation, as you're parking at the base of the dirt road. There is drinking water and a portable potty though.
The wind was cold from the trail head but soon vanished once we started hiking along the dirt road, fortunately we planned on cooler Temps.
I didn't track it but I think we hiked on the dirt road for maybe 3/4 mile and then it started crossing the stream back and forth via single foot path.
The water was the coldest I've ever walked in, being the first of April and we passed some snow a few times in the canyon. It was almost unbearable but after walking on numbed feet, we were finally able to tolerate it, but still very cold for young kids.
We only made it up to the first ladder and a couple of canyon turns above that, this was enough for the kids and we headed back. Still a great hike though.
