The sad part is this type of misconception is typical of gun control advocates. I've only met a couple that truly understand how a gun functions and how all it's features work. If you want a perfect example just listen to any of them describe why we should ban black rifles. Most the gun control advocates have gathered all their firearms knowledge from watching Miami Vice as a kid.

Thank goodness the number of smart (gun wise) people has increased significantly since the Federal Assault Weapons Ban fiasco and the Brady Bill failure.
