I don't understand the point. Why don't you just pull it through?
[OOps... I see that the scenario is that the rappel side is two ropes tied together.]

If you have a pull cord and a biner then why not binerblock? It is a nifty setup, but practical? I'm not seeing it.

The Original Post indicates this is a method for when you have two ropes tied together on the rappel side to get enough length.
