I remember when I lived in DC that you'd see spots in alleys, stairwells, parking garages and even parks where people would take care of all manner of bodily functions on a regular basis. Pretty disgusting behavior, especially when it's in your own apartment building!!!

Must be an urban thing because I don't see it around here

In downtown Houston, TX there are signs along the streets that read: Please do not urinate on the sidewalks. I wish I would have taken a photo. I understood almost instantly why they had those signs.. because it stunk of urine!
