So we've all heard the story by now, Muslim kid builds a clock, the teacher thinks it looks like a bomb, kid leaves school in handcuffs, kid gets praise by Twitter, Apple, and a buncha peeps.

Is there anything missing from this story?

If you were interviewing the kid, what is one of the first questions you'd ask him? How about, "Can we see a picture of this clock?"

Is anybody else curious why we aren't seeing this clock in the headlines?

Because it looks like a bomb. The kid didn't build anything. He disassembled a 1970's era clock and mounted it into a suitcase. Story stinks of PC pandering.

Now, that being said, handcuffed and arrested was overkill..

Yeah, the little shit was trying to provoke the school and make headlines. He didn't invent, nor even "build" a clock. He disassembled an alarm clock and put it in a briefcase to look suspicious.

And then the PC crowd jumped in to show how awesomely tolerant and smart and kind and caring and better than anybody else, and gave the kid praise without even seeing the damned thing, they read the headlines and shot off their "white republicans are racists" lines.

Idiots.

The company sent Mohamed a ton of gifts to the young engineer via Alia Salem, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations from the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, including:

a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 ($700 to $1,400 value)
a Cube 3D printer with cartridges and filaments ($1,000-plus value)
an Office 365 subscription ($100 per year)
a Raspberry Pi 2 computer ($35 value)
a Microsoft Band fitness tracker ($180 value)

Everyone is quick to jump on the PC bandwagon.

The Google (https://www.facebook.com/Google) Science Fair had a special visitor:
Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old who was recently detained by police for bringing a homemade clock to school.
He's since become an insta-celeb and everyone wants to take selfies with him...

The crowd was quickly disappointed when they realized he doesn't know how to build anything.

Look at the loot this kid scored. All of the PC crowd are starting to realize what buffoons they are when sacrificing research for public praise.

This kids goal was to incite a reaction--it worked.

as far as inventing things--he would be best served, retreating back to lego's and inventing houses.

The story continues, as the Irving police have repeatedly asked the family to come pick up the clock for more than a week now.

I think the police should drop it off at the families front door. That would be the kind thing to do, right?
