Father Lets His 20-Year-Old Daughter Drown Rather Than Let ‘Strange’ Men Touch Her
What happened on a beach in Dubai was something that Lt. Col Ahmed Burqibah, Deputy Director of Dubai Police’s Search and Rescue Department, “cannot forget.”
According to Burqibah, a family was enjoying their day at the beach when one of his daughters, who was just 20 years old, began struggling in the water.

Two lifeguards ran to save her, but the girl’s father prevented them from getting to her in time. Burqibah explained to Emirates 24/7:
“This obstacle was the belief of this Asian man who considered that if these men touched his daughter, then this would dishonour her. It cost him the life of his daughter.”
The lifeguards were incredibly close to reaching her, but the father refused to get out of the way:
“The father was a tall and strong man. He started pulling and preventing the rescue men and got violent with them. He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man.”
“She died unfortunately, at a time when she had a chance to live, especially that the rescue men were so close to her to pull her out of the water.”
The father was later arrested by the Dubai Police and was “prosecuted and sued by the concerned authorities.”
