I need some help finding an outfitter that will rent basic rappelling gear near Zion.
We have a group of 4 experienced guys that are doing the Subway in a few weeks and so far I haven't been able to find any outfitters in Springdale that will rent ropes. We are fine with packing harnesses, webbing, and piranas but would love to find a reputable company that will rent 100' of rope and some helmets so that we don't have to pack these as we will only be using them for a few hours on 1 day.
Does anyone know of any outfitters that could help?
Thanks,
~Shaun

Helmets can be rented at Zion Adventure Co.

I doubt you will find any place that will rent rope.

What date? How experienced are 4 guys, in canyoneering or other rope sports?

75 feet good enough for you?

From what I have read via trip reports it looks like the longest decent is about 30ft so 75 ft would be perfect!

2 of us are very experienced (canyoneering/climbing/rappelling) the other 2 have some experience with guided trips. We are planning on using Zion Adventure Co. for our transportation and hemet rental.

I assume you mean that you have reserved a "transfer shuttle", which takes you from the lower trailhead to the upper trialhead in the morning. You still need to drive to the lower trailhead.

I can loan you a rope for that, if you can tell me the date.

Thx for everything you do for the canyoneering community
