Thought you all might enjoy some eye candy from a recent trip to the Sierras/Sequoia National Park.

Jump typically runs between 5-10cfs and is dam controlled. In past years due to low snowfall the release rates were lowered to 3cfs. We discovered the day before we arrived Pacific Gas & Electric (utility) had shut off water release from the dam to see how much it was leaking. We were verbally told 1.3cfs by a PG&E employee actively measuring the creek as we passed. ...Bummer. Still a great time!

Featured Canyons: Lower Stevenson (http://ropewiki.com/Stevenson_Creek_%28Lower%29), Jump (upper & lower) (http://ropewiki.com/index.php/Jump_Trip_%28Lower%29), Chrysalis (http://ropewiki.com/Marble_Fork_Kaweah_River_%28Chrysalis%29), North Fork of the Kaweah (http://ropewiki.com/North_Fork_of_the_Kaweah_%28Lower%29).

Wow...seems like SO MUCH FUN!!!

I live in northern CA, but have no class C experience (although I'm very comfortable in water (white water kayaker in my previous life before I had kids :cry1:)). Would LOVE to join anyone who's planning any canyoneering trips in northern CA.

Consider this as an official invite to form a group to go and try some of these canyons.

To be quite honest it was mainly luck. I shoot hundreds of photos per canyon. 90% of those are utter trash but the few that I get lucky with (exposure/focus/subject matter) go to processing in lightroom.
