Well, making it almost through RI is a start!

Actually, I heard a bike shop hooked him up with a better bike. I hope he makes it. Could be a great weight loss tactic. I've thought about taking a month and hiking a part of the PCT or something -- I'm sure I'd drop about 30 lbs and have fun doing it!

But I always wonder, how does someone have time to take several months off and do something like this.
