On saturday, two friends and I headed to the Hanksville area to enjoy the unseasonably scorching weather and to descend a few of the local wet canyons.
On account of the recent rains, we were expecting Woody to be filled to the brim. We headed into the canyon with a pace suitable for an easy, wet romp. Time and time again the keeper potholes seemed to say "Slow down, adjust your technique, I'm not letting you out that easy", but we continued on with our full-steam-ahead approach.
What resulted was a quick and sloppy descent. The mud and our lack of pothole technique contributed as well. We ended up having a blast and learning a lot about pothole escapes, but I thought it would be most fun to edit a video highlighting the challenge, the grossness and the comic blunders that happened in the canyon.
