What are some beginner/intermediate canyons that are in season right now? On my radar right now are the West Clear Creek canyons in Az and the Zion canyons with water (although I've already taken them through Pine Creek and Keyhole). I'm also thinking about Seven Teacups in California. We did Christopher Creek and The Jug last month. Do I have any other options? My group is fairly competent but there a few members that get nervous very easily, so I'm trying to slowly amp up the difficulty level without them noticing. Most of us are based out of Vegas.

Hi Krrristi
Have you done any of the Vegas canyons?
Tom's website (and quide book) canyoneeringusa.com has a very nice break-down of the Zion moderates with seasonal recommends.

I've done most of the Vegas canyons but I don't know if this group is ready for the long drops of the few canyons around town with water in them (I'm thinking String of Pearls and the Maze, am I missing some?), plus the hikes are so hot :scared:. I'm going to take them up to Mount Charleston in a couple weekends. I was going to do Little Falls but I may just throw them (figuratively) off of Big Falls and get their first big drop out of the way.
Thanks, I'll check out some more of the Zion ones. I've just done them so many times, I'm kind of resistant to them now, haha.
