Pine Creek 6-4-15

This past Thursday I had the chance to go through Pine Creek. I haven't done any canyoneering except the Subway so I don't have much to compare it to. The canyon was excellent. It was full of water with several swims. Was the water cold? That is relative. I thought it seemed plesant for the most part but can see if you get cold easy that it would feel cold. All of us wore wetsuits. By having a could canyons under my bel I think when I do finally get a chance to take a course I will get more out of it by being able to put things into perspective.

FWIW- when canyons have recently flowed and are full the water will be much warmer than after they have stagnated for several weeks.

I've done Pine Creek when the water is bathtub warm from being heated flowing over sun baked slickrock. And I've done Pine Creek when the water is ice cold after chilling from evaporation refrigeration. Welcome to the wonderful world of canyoneering.
