So as it goes with anything new and cool, once you buy, there's something much cooler on the horizon.
3D Robotics is releasing the Solo, which has some really nice features above the Iris+ that I just bought 2 months ago. True it won't be available until June or July, but dang it looks cool. The price point is a little higher but it's something I'd be willing to pay for with the added features.
The gimbal is a 3 axis rather than 2, and it can stream the GoPro live view right to the controller, with GoPro controls like starting and stopping the camera, changing resolution, etc...
It's supposed to sense objects and move around them too, not sure how well this works but it would be better than my 3 crashes already.
