Buckskin Permit Exit Changes

I have a few questions that I'm sure some of you experts and probably answer for me.


1. Does anyone know how difficult is it to change the Exit of a Buckskin permit?

2. Any suggestions on cheap but decent motel coming from Colorado Springs through Durango and Hwy 160 to get to Lee's Ferry?

3. Also, I heard that Hwy 89 between Page and Bitter Springs is still closed?

Since I spoke with the Paria Ranger today, guess I will answer my own questions since I have over 100 views with no replies.

1. The issued permit entry and/or exit can be changed and extra days can be added for $30.

2. Best place without bugs and dirty carpet etc. according to TA reviews is White Eagle Inn and Family Lodge in Cortez.

3. Hopes are that Hwy 89 will be open in June.

Why not camp? If budget is a concern, there are plenty of spots in the Durango/Cortez area to stop for the night.

Since you are hoping 89 is open, then I assume you are exiting the Paria at Lee's Ferry? The highway will be opening next week. So no worries there.
