I always found him a bit creepy only because he called himself Le-o-nard (sounds like leotard) whereas the correct pronunciation sounds like Lennard. Plus those pointy ears...they just weren't human, you know.

83 is not that "long" these days, but would have been back when he (or Roddenberry) invented the expression.

It comes to us all: death & taxes (usually in the reverse order).
