Was legal, people were harassing wildlife and flying around congested areas leading the NPs to put a ban on them last summer. RC enthusiasts have been doing it for years in NPs but the popularity brought out many new and inexperienced "pilots" which lead to poor decisions. Similar issues in canyoneering and any new activity that hasn't figured out the best process.

I would love to get some footage in Grand Teton, just from the lakeshore, not bugging anyone, but now that it's banned, not going to even think about it.
