Anyone have a description or GPS location of the Little Cottonwood Canyon pictographs, which they would be willing to share? The only information I can find has them located near the mouth of the canyon in a rockslide cave. I would appreciate any beta, I

I've never heard of the LCC picto's but I'll see what I can find for you. In the mean time there are some fun petroglyphs at the mouth of Provo Canyon that make a great family hike.

I looked for it last year. I believe I located the shelter due to the fact it had been blocked off, which prevented me from confirming however. Was probably done due to severely heavy vandalism. Most disturbing find was the huge mess people leave in that beautiful canyon in off trail areas.

I would be interested in helping. My brother-in-law visited them as a scout 10 years ago, but does not remember where it is. I will ask my brother-in-law to see if he can contact his old scout master and see if I can get some more info.

That unfortunate, so it’s completely blocked off?

I would be totally amazed if the forest service blocked access. More info please and are you sure it was not one of the caves where the church mined granite you found blocked?

A gap enough for my camera to fire blindly within only revealed a view of it from a limited angle, couldn't see all surfaces a panel could be on, hence wasn't able to confirm.

I’m planning on searing for the pictograph Friday afternoon, before the weekend storm. Anyone interested in coming along PM me. I have a obtained a vague description of where it is at.

The Bogley crew rules.... :stud:

It took four of us about 15 minutes to find it. We had the location narrowed down to about a one mile section of canyon before we put boots on the ground.

I grew up only a couple miles away from the pictograph and spent thousands of hours in LLC and had no idea that this even existed.
