Sure...until you loose a few teeth on a gnarly wipeout. Or choke on the damn thing when it gets flushed down your throat.

Last I checked, soft silicone doesn't knock teeth out, and GoPros don't fit down throats ;)

Mouth mounts? Would that just catch the top half of your head? Or from chin down to the board?

It still faces out, just closer to the eyes for a more true pov experience.

Mouth mount might be useful if you're a dog. But the head mount is closer to a true eye view if that is what you're after.

The reason I like the chest mount while riding is my head can be looking around or go into full bobble head mode and the footage still focuses on the trail.

There was actually a video from a parkour guy comparing footage from a mouth mount vs a head mount, and the mouth mount was more stable. Haven't seen a comparison of the chest mount though.
