To me, this is sad but also terrifying and infuriating. The mother is heavily implicated in this poisoning, and the father most likely is as well. IMO there is nothing worse in this world than betraying the trust of a child. And that's exactly what happened when those poor kids were made to "drink the kool-aid."

At the very least (and this is all speculation), they didn't suffer. Liquid Methadone in cough syrup might taste yucky, but they wouldn't feel anything as they fell asleep only to never wake up.

Their entire lives stretched out in front of them, all those hopes and dreams they took with them into that master bedroom only to be snuffed out when mommy locked the door behind them, and poured them each a glass.
