Good for her. She said it like it is. "African American" doesn't mean anything unless you can identify with what part of that continent you came from. It looked like Oprah was appalled that she would say such a thing. Can Oprah trace her "African" roots back to a source? I doubt it.
Technically, aren't we all "African Americans" since we all supposedly originated from a common ancestor...in Africa?
