Back in June a group and I tackled the Black Hole with a Zero G chaser.

We drove down lat in the day and ended up throwing out our sleeting bags at the Hite Overlook loop.:nono: Since we were up and left for the canyon early, we never saw a soul come through. It was amazing to see the sunrise from there overlooking the canyon and the river.

Black Hole is an amazingly beautiful canyon with lots of swimming narrows and cool formations. The actual Black Hole section was cool too although was low on water and filled with it's signature stagnant log jam. The smell was not pleasant, although still worth dropping into the hole because, hey, that is why we came.

Here is a video from the day. It was hard to compress the hike into 7.5 minutes but it shows some great highlights of the canyon.

After a quick lunch we drove to the Zero G trail head.
Great canyon and a lot of bang-for-the-buck. The final moves out the bombay was tough for the noobies in the group and took extra time since we are all a bit tired from the Black Hole earlier.

We did take a break at the jumping hole for some fun. Quick video.

Looks like you had a great day! Cool man.
I'm a little dizzy from the Black Hole movie though. It's a little shocking to see...

Haven't done the black hole, however I did Morocco canyon together with Zero G some years ago. I loved Zero G. It being one of my first canyons (with excellent guidance, don't worry), I recognize the trouble with the final exit. Awkward start of a rappel; just don't let go of the rope if you make a smack into the wall...
