That Walnut Creek cop has manure for brains. I have no idea how he could interpret that dude as "coming up on him."

Jesse Bright, an attorney in Wilmington, NC, filmed this incident, in which he was stopped by Wilmington PD and New Hanover County Sheriff's Department officers. A WPD officer tells him "turn it off or I'm going to take you to jail" at the :30 second mark. A minute later, an unidentified NHC Sheriff's officer claims "they just recently passed it," referring to a law banning the filming of police officers.

^^^ The first 3 minutes were entertaining, but the last 6 minutes were boring as hell. Once the cops realized the driver knew his rights and wasn't a threat they backed down.

Oh, they're not ALL bad. Just be nice and don't stick a stinking camera in their face.

Last April, I turned off I-70 onto 191 towards Moab. I had two bikes on the rack. Within two miles I flew by a cop parked on the side of the road...I look to see I was going 80 MPH. The speed limit on that road is 65.

He chased me down and I said "As soon as I saw you, I knew you were gonna come get my ass". He laughed and asked why I was in a hurry.

I told him I wasn't in a hurry at all but I'd just driven from Denver and EVERYBODY on the freeway was going this speed, including me...and also my truck (an F-150) is so damn smooth and quiet, it's like being in a limousine.

I figured one hundred percent that he'd write a ticket...but he came back after running my info thru and let me go with a warning.

Yep, just don't be a jerk. Most of them are cool. Also, try driving 65 on that road and watch how fast you get run over by everybody going 80.
