Maybe I'm the only insensitive one here, but in the article I just don't get that phrase "died doing what he loved". I'm sure he wasn't saying "I'm loving this!" as he saw his face plummeting towards the ground.

Maybe it's their way of coping with his loss?? Especially seeing how his death could have been prevented. It wasn't a accident where the rope broke but rather a huge miscalculation and error in judgement.

...Anyways.......I think this was on the back of everyone's minds. But, we have two years before something is announced though.

A few times a week, thrill-seekers can be seen jumping off the 250-foot high arch

Damn.... this arch is growing! Back when I first rappelled from the top of the arch my 150' rope was more then enough.

Gotta love the media. :lol8:

So according to KUTV, there was a 2nd rope swing death here where the guy died from having a rope that was too long.

But... I wonder if they are getting their locations mixed up with the guy who fell out of his harness???

Reminds me of an old joke:
Why are women so bad at estimating distances?
Guys have been telling them for years that this is 12 inches.
