Does anyone know a website where I can download and print a topo map of Halls Creek Narrows (either free or I'm willing to pay).I'm coming from the UK to Moab in September and will be on a tight schedule so I won't be passing by the Visitor Centre at the northern end of Capitol Reef to buy one as I'll be coming from the south.
I emailed the Park to buy one in advance, but they weren't sure if they could mail it to the UK and they suggested I look online and said I could probably print one off free of charge.
But I'm not sure of a good place to do this. It's the Deer Point, Stevens Canyon North, Halls Mesa USGS 7.5minute series.
It sound like it's pretty easy to routefind if doing the long approach from Halls Overlook trailhead, but I might end up trying one of 2 shortcut routes down, so it would be good to see some contours. Probably the airstrip is easy to find too, but handy to have a topo particularly if exploring any side canyons.

Thanks in advance

Go here: http://store.usgs.gov/b2c_usgs/usgs/maplocator/(ctype=areaDetails&xcm=r3standardpitrex_prd&carea=%24ROOT&layout=6_1_61_48&uiarea=2)/.do
to download, print, or order those maps.

Go here: http://climb-utah.com/Capitol/hallscreeknarrows.htm
for good info about Halls Creek Narrows including a map and some photos(mine) from last year. Message me if you want to talk about our trip through there last year.

Every USGS Map for Utah can be downloaded here:
http://libremap.org/data/state/utah/

The USGS maps you want for Halls Creek are Deer Point and Stevens Canyon North.

Every USGS map in the US can be downloaded here:
http://libremap.org/data/

All the maps on Libre are free, you will probably want to download the TIF version which can be viewed by most computer picture programs.

Man, can't we find a way to charge non-citizens for this great stuff?
