On May 3 2014, we set out to do what could be a tiny, crappy, muddy, pathetic canyon... or a fun giant route. Oahu Canyoneer, Mojave Silence and myself got together and found out....

We broke a few rules of canyoneering. The only things I knew about this drainage is that the approach hike starts at about 1000 ft elevation, is an hour long and gain about 1300ft elevation. The canyon itself goes down to about 300ft elevation. All of this within a 1/4 or less. This is what we ended up with...

I was wondering about you guys the other day. Good to see you Hawaii gents still exploring!

Looks like a good time. Those are some big A waterfalls to descend.

We always will be exploring. I just had to take a hiatus for some personal stuff. My g/f and I are also expecting a little one soon.

It was a lot of fun. There's a big 350' waterfall in the middle somewhere.

A couple of additional pictures from "The Glory Hole..." The final tally for the canyon appears to be 18 raps ranging from 10'--350'+, mostly natural anchors with 2 bolts placed.
