The English Language is Messed Up

This will sound pretty geeky, but... in the book Enders Game (and the following books of the Shadow Series) the English language is largely replaced with a simplified version of English called "Common". It gets rid of words like "whom" and messy spellings, and allowed the whole world to come together in one language.


I would be open to transitioning English over towards a more simplified / phonetic version of itself.


*That said, I do believe that part of America's success is due in part to English being our primary language. Learning Spanish, really gave me a great appreciation for English and how open ended it is for the users. It makes sense to me that so many innovators have been English speakers, because English really does open the mind to different possibilities*
