I just taught a free, one-night class at the U of U Foundry on how to set up a self-hosted website and would like to know if anyone would be interested in going to a class like that. It was about 2 hours long and go over the basics of how to set up a blog using Wordpress and brand yourself as an outdoor expert. There is no catch or obligations just a free class. If I can get enough interest in doing it again I would. I had a lot of entrepreneurs show up but I was hoping some more outdoorsy people would show up. Apparently I didn't do a good job of advertising. Let me know if you are interested.

I would be interested. It would also be good to learn more about which technology to use for what type of content. You have personal blog sites, facebook sites, tumblr, instagram, You tube, vimeo, etc. I know that a lot of blogs have multiple social media sites as well. Managing all those sites and keeping the content interesting is a full time job I would guess.

If you set a site up right it does the heavy lifting. I will put you down. If more people are interested we will definitely do it.
