Just thought I would introduce myself and make some new friends. My name is actually Kyle but I started a website called Gear Backer, hence the name. The website is going to highlight crowdfunded outdoor gear, and gear development. I am a huge gear head. I love gear. Every time that I have gone to the OR Show I skip the big names and go to the fringes and talk to the companies that have just one or two products. The true innovators.
That being said I love the outdoors and after finishing school I have a large backlog of activities that I want to do. Right now I am focusing on overland travel because I have a 4 year old son. But he is almost big enough to start doing a lot more.
I also teach classes on how to set up an outdoor adventure blog. I have done it for free in the past and if I get enough interest in the SLC area I can do it again.
