We ended up grabbing permits and ran through on Fri. (03/07). We had a shuttle vehicle (motorcycle) with us and did the East Mesa approach. It was a beautiful day, with a little snow and ice on the ground for decent through the "death gully" it made the approach a little sketchy with the frozen ground. There were no swims, mostly knee high water (which was really cold). "The lake" was only knee high on the RDC.. We put on wetsuits prior to the lake which made the lake crossing and last part of the canyon enjoyable. It took us (3) a little over 6 hours from East Mesa trail head to Temple of Sinawava.
