Just finished my Big Game application for Utah.

Limited Entry Pronghorn-Archery Bonus point

Limited Entry Elk-Archery Bonus Point

General Season Deer - Archery (5 areas, my number 1 & 2 choices are 1:200+ for non-residents) but I would be happy with any of the 5 choices. Though they get farther and farther from Vegas as my choices go down. Hoping to hunt Panguitch or Beaver again.

Crossing my fingers!!

Guess what I drew the Book Cliffs Muzzleloader Expo tag! I'll be putting in for my official state tag tomorrow, still undecided whether to go for antelope island and turn in my Book Cliffs tag if for some chance I draw or roll the dice on a pronghorn tag.

So damn lucky. I'd keep the book cliffs tag. Is it an any species book cliffs tag? I hear the pronghorn hunting is awesome, some very challenging long yardage archery. Sucks to be this stoked so early in the year.

I can keep the deer tag, and still draw a pronghorn tag too.

Got news today that I'd been awareded my 4th choice. Not surprising at all.

Kind of wished I had only selected three areas for archery and then If I'd been unsuccessful I could have purchased an over the counter permit for the area I ended up getting anyways (Nebo, Central Mtns). My non-resident choices were Beaver at 1:49, Panguitch at 1:56, and Mt Dutton at 1:12. I thought for sure I'd get Dutton. I put Nebo down as my 4th choice and it's still a 1:4 shot.

Looks like I'll be doing a lot of driving this summer to Fountain Green to scout. I wonder if after they charge my card if I can wait till after all of the draws and change it for an over the counter permit in another area (if one is available). I don't mind hunting Nebo, I was just lookign to hunt somewhere different this year. At least Nebo is a sure thing!

Odds of drawing a limited entry group elk tag are pretty rough. It's extremely hard to draw as an individual.

Just found out yesterday that I was successful in the Anterless draw for a Pronghorn in the Plateau unit! Excited but it will be the first time hunting antelope with a bow. Should be hard too since it's a November, any legal weapon hunt so I'll be competing against people able to take a shot farther away then me. I'm thinking of focusing my attention between Parker Mtn and Bryce in Johns Valley.

Any advice would be very helpful and appreciated!

Nice.

We seen the most Antelope down in the flats between Bryce and Antimony & Parker.

Bow may be easier down low, where the heat will cause them to want more water.

My wife killed a nice on in the Parker are a few years ago (rifle)

We have property over that way and have been up on the Boulders a lot if you need any other info

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty much focusing my efforts on the south-west portion of the unit. I'm hoping to be able to find a nice spot and let the other hunters drive them to me. I'll shoot you a PM to see if there is any more info you have that may help.
Thanks.
