Must-ride Moab trails

Heading to Moab Wed. night - President's day. What are the best ATV trails in/around the Moab area?

You looking for extreme? Difficult? Or moderate?

Hell's Revenge and Fins n Things are easy to do in the same day, and are probably must do trails for the area.


Poison Spider Mesa is fun, and a must do. For a challenge, run Poison Spider, Golden Spike, and Gold Bar Rim together. You will need somebody to pick you up at one end unless you ride it back in reverse. Expect some buddy help on Golden Spike.

For a good challenge, and some buddy help, try Moab Rim and Cliffhanger. Both good workouts with great views.

For some mellow stuff check out Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corners. The road up Kane Creek has lots of Native American rock art to be found. If you are interested in the rock art I can give you a few more places to access via atv.

If you want to get stupid, go out and run the Behind the Rocks or Pritchett Canyon trails. My buddy and I combined these two trails for a very hard 3/4 day ride. There is also some fun sand dunes on the road to Behind the Rocks.

Sevenmile Rim, Hidden Canyon, Tushar Tunnel are all fun trails but not overly challenging.
