Recognize other times of the year are typically better, but may have a window to be in the Zion area mid-April and wonder which routes may be doable as I put together a consideration list. I understand the weather and conditions can be quite variable which can knock any canyon off the list, but would be interested nonetheless in input from those with experience at this time of year. My assumption is full wetsuit necessary on most.

My list for consideration: Spry, Pine Creek, Behunin, Mystery, Fat Man's, Birch Hollow, Water Canyon, Rock Canyon, Keyhole

Others I would like, but less certain as doable (too much water, snow). Kolob, Boundary, Imlay, Echo

Comments on these or others to think about?

Behunin and Spry should definitely be doable that time of year with wetsuits. Birch would depend on the road out to it, but if its been wet at all then it will be a nasty muddy mess. Imlay would be really cold:cold:, but I think as long as the virgin isn't flooding and you are cold tolerant it could be done, you'd have to check when the dates get closer.

Mid-April is the most-likely time for the Narrows to be closed. Snowpack is low, not much snow this year so far. This can change quickly.

Jacob could be good, if looking for meatier fare. http://www.canyoneeringusa.com/rave/?s=jacob
