Day 2 of the trip was a lot more fun. First there was no approach hike, just a long car shuttle to set up. We drove to Dante's View and started down from there. The starting elevation on this hike was right around 5200' and it ends below sea level for more than a mile loss in elevation. This canyon has 27 rappels and several down climbs as well.

As a great way to finish the canyon, near the end there are 2 rappels coming in at 270' each

Pictures don't do these canyons justice, you have to be there to really experience it. It will probably be next year before I get back since its such a long drive, but I'm thinking that this will be my new cold weather destination. :kickit:
