AMAZING Aerial Freeride Mountain Biking Film in So. Utah.

I got called this fall to film a couple of freeride bikers, one near Green River, and one down near the Rampage site. I didn't know what I was getting into because I'd never filmed bikers before, and was really surprised how dangerous some of the lines were. In fact, some of it just seemed crazy. Like "he's gonna die" crazy. Regardless, they rode without incident and we had a great time and the footage turned out really cool. It's a departure from the serene nature films I normally make, but the scenery is still spectacular.

What is the trail starting at 1:47?

That's the pioneer logging trail in Grafton, UT near Virgin. You park at the cemetery to hike up, or you can take the back road to the top of the Mesa in a 4x4. The dirt road is rough but can get you right to the trail head.

The Grafton portion looks like it has been smoothed out. I rode it back in 1999 when it was just getting cut in by Josh Bender. I recognized in the video a portion of the Flintstone trail in the Eagle mountain area also. Awesome video and editing!
