An Extra Night in Cove Canyon

[INDENT][FONT=Arial][COLOR=#000000]This was my first canyon trip in Grand Canyon, and it did not disappoint! Originally we had planned to do Cove Canyon over the weekend, but with a massive cold front moving in we pushed it up to the first of the week hoping to get back out Tuesday night before the storm moved in. Changing the date last minute dropped the group size down to 2, Bruce and Me. The trip started with the best weather we could have asked for considering it was December. As soon as the sun came up the extra layers came off.

[FONT=Arial][COLOR=#000000]After a reasonably flat 8 miles we made it to the head of Cove Canyon. Moving quickly on the approach made us a bit over confident.
