The board of directors recently voted to change the name of the organization to Coalition of American Canyoneers. While wanting to keep the brand recognition we had through American Canyoneers, this name emphasizes that we are an association with an eye on our membership needs and the essence of our mission. The focus of the CAC remains to preserve the canyons in their most pristine and natural state, and to promote and improve access to public and private lands. In recent months we have completed fundraisers for the SAR community, lead cleanup projects and promoted stewardship in many areas.
