Making Money

I've had some people tell me that I could make money from some of my photographs. Is there anyone on here that actually makes money off of their photography? If so, what do I need to do? And how do I get started?

Yes they are. :) Your mom told you that she loves my work did she? :haha: Seriously though, I know you have posted good quality photos on here. Have you had any luck publishing or bringing home a return for any of your work?

I think the way to start dabbling into this would be via stock photos. You can upload to a stockphoto site and then companies search these and use your shot. You make about...............drum roll..........................$1 each time. The key is to have lots and lots loaded and they only take excellent shots. Some good, serious, not over the top, post processing will likely be required. They screen and block out mediocre shots so you won't be uploading your entire disk. Just search on "how to make $$ with stock photos" or something similar on the web and you will find some guides.

Probably not, she had open heart surgery a couple months ago and at 83, looks quite good.
